Another double DVD set.

'Baby's Day Out' reminds you of those old comic B&W silent shorts. This has been given a more up to date treatment (1994) and is a full length feature written by John Hughes. The baby (called Bink) in question is kidnapped by a gang lead by Eddie (Mantegna) with the assistance of Pantoliano and Haley. Whilst his mother (Boyle) hams it up for the cameras the baby is leading the inept gang a merry dance as it gets into a number of scrapes without even realising it.

In 'Dunston' the title character is an orangutan. His job is to thieve valuables from hotel rooms due to his climbing skills. When his owner (Everett) checks into the Majestic hotel, he doesn't allow for the friendship that will spring up between Dunston who has gone awol and Kyle (Lloyd) the son of the harrassed hotel manager (Alexander).

Originally released in 1996, this is an undemanding slapstick romp with plenty of mayhem caused by Dunston, his owner and everybody else getting in on the act. Dunaway almost steals the show with a turn as an acerbic hotel owner.
